Expansions Christmas 2009-2018
How have things changed since our first display during Christmas 2008! We have grown every year since, adding mega trees, mini trees, strobes, leaping arches, a yard-wide outdoor sound system, computerization, and 102.5 FM. Check out the gallery below to see our expansion progress over the years.
If you look closely, we started out with only one mega tree and 5 mini trees (Christmas 2009-2010). We debuted our outdoor speaker system during Christmas 2010. Our first year with strobes on the mega tree was a huge hit (Christmas 2011)! Christmas 2012 was a huge year, during which we debuted our first dancing sequence on November 30, 2012: Michael W. Smith's "Christmas Angels." We also expanded from 5 to 12 mini trees and debuted 102.5 FM WACS Radio during Christmas 2012. We have even included a couple of construction photos in the gallery below as we added our second mega tree (Christmas 2013), and then our third mega tree (Christmas 2014). Leaping arches debuted during Christmas 2015, with complete computerization debuting during Christmas 2016.
Since we debuted our first dancing sequence, we have added new dancing sequences, and we are now up to 8 songs to which the lights dance! We also now feature 200,000+ lights, 3 mega trees, 12 mini trees, hundreds of strobes, 14 leaping arches, and over 550 Light-O-Rama channels. Our neighbors across the street have also joined in on the dancing lights!
