Expansions Christmas 2019-Present
Christmas 2019 marked a big year for The Allison Christmas Spectacular: a complete overhaul to 100% LED lights! All 200,000+ synchronized lights at the time were converted to LED, which means the wiring process was much easier. Plus the lights no longer fade nor break as easily, and the lights are so much brighter! We stocked up with LEDs and tested them over about a year and a half before the overhaul order was placed. We chose to update to 5mm LED lights, and these include a small prism that allows the light from each bulb to be reflected 360 degrees, which makes this LED bulb type the brightest.
We added 16 vertical columns for Christmas 2021, and the show increased to over a quarter million synchronized lights! Our ✨15th Year Celebration✨ in Christmas 2022 marked another large expansion for the show, adding 2 more properties to the show and doubling our light count to over a half million synchronized lights! We decorated Grandma's property with her famous "snow," as well as added 12 mega trees to the neighbor's property across the street from Grandma. Hundreds of LED snowfall tubes were also added along the cul-de-sac.
We're decorating another neighbor's property in Christmas 2023 for our ✨Sweet 16 Celebration✨, as well as expanding Grandma's "snow" and the lights on the neighbor's property across the street from her! In the cul-de-sac, we're adding hundreds more LED snowfall tubes and expanding Grandma's "snow" to outline the road for safety. This will bring our total light count over 700,000 synchronized lights for the first time in the show's history! We're excited to see the show continue to expand every year for the glory of God!
